I had just finished my lecture on solvents when he approached me:

“Doc, let me tell you about how I learned that solvents have a medical effect.” He said. Two people about to leave the classroom stopped and turned to listen to what the DE was about to say. This is the story the DE told me. I had just gotten my A&P and took my first job with an outfit up north that refurbished DC-3s, -4s and -6s for export. I was one of two new hires, so we were both assigned to stripping and cleaning the main cabin floors for subsequent inspection and rework.
